talking but hard to understand
Your child is using a number of words but they are hard to understand. It is normal for parents to understand their child's talking more than other people. As a general rule at 2 years of age your child should be approximately 50% intelligible to strangers; 75% intelligible at 3 years; and 95% intelligible at 4 years of age. You are concerned that your child falls outside of these norms and is unable to effectively communicate their wants and needs. Your child may also becoming frustrated when communicating.
